PCSO employs a prize system for Lotto 6/42 based on ‘pari mutuel’ wagering system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lotto bets in a given draw, then dividing the pool by the total number of winners.
This is the Lotto 6/42 payout structure:
- If you got six (6) numbers of the winning number combination in any order, you hit the jackpot for the Lotto 6/42 game. The top prize starts at PhP 5,940,000.
- In case your number matches five (5) out of the six (6) drawn numbers, you get a fixed prize worth PhP 24,000.

Before you go any further, keep in mind that only 18 years old and above are allowed to play.
These are the complete instructions when playing Lotto 6/42:
- Go to a PCSO-authorized lotto outlet near you and look for the PCSO Lotto 6/42 bet slip.
- Pick six (6) numbers between 1 to 42. These digits will be your 6/42 Lotto combination.
- Choose LP (Lucky Pick) if you want the system to automatically pick the numbers for you.
- Optionally choose one of the options in the 6/42 Lotto System Play. With this option, you can choose more than the usual six number combination.
- If you want to join multiple draws, mark the number of consecutive draws in the Draw section.
- Pay the corresponding ticket price to the teller and get your printed lotto ticket.
- Check the 6/42 Lotto Result right after the 9:00 pm scheduled draw to verify if your ticket matches the winning number combination.
PCSO Lotto 6/42 ticket costs PhP 20 per number combination. This amount is inclusive of 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).
After placing your bet, sign the back portion of the 6/42 Lotto ticket and store it in safe and dry place.
Do not tamper with, wet, fold or iron your Lotto 6/42 ticket. Tickets are heat-sensitive and they have to be validated by the machine before you can claim your prize.

- Bring your own ball pen to lessen the risk of contracting the virus.

PCSO Lotto 6/42 System Plays – Increase the Odds of Winning the Jackpot
6/42 Lotto System Bets allow players to pick more than the default six (6) numbers per draw, thereby increasing their chances of winning the jackpot.
The available system plays in 6/42 Lotto are System 5-Roll (System 5R), System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.
With System 7, a player selects seven (7) numbers which generates a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the player selects eight (8) numbers, producing a total of 28 combinations.
The overall number of combinations increases as the marked numbers increase. The same rule applies for System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.
In System 5R, you only mark five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5-Roll, the 5 numbers you have chosen are automatically paired with each of the remaining 37 digits in the bet slip, creating a total of 37 six-number combinations.
Please remember that your total ticket cost will be much higher in system plays due to the higher number of combinations you will bet on. The overall cost of the ticket shall be PhP 20 times the number of combinations produced.
