PCSO employs a payout system for Megalotto 6/45 based on ‘pari mutuel’ system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lottery bets in a certain draw, then split the pool by the total number of winners.

Here is the 6/45 Lotto prize system:

  • Getting six (6) out of the six (6) drawn numbers in any order wins you the current jackpot for 6/45 Mega Lotto. The jackpot prize begins at PhP 8,910,000.

6/45 Megalotto System Plays – Improve the Chances of Winning

You can improve your chances of winning the jackpot through 6/45 Lotto System Bets. This advanced option allows you to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers and produces several combinations of your chosen numbers.

The system plays available in 6/45 Lotto are System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11, System 12 and System 5-Roll (System 5R).

With System 7, a player marks seven (7) numbers which produces a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the bettor picks eight (8) numbers, generating a total of 28 combinations.

In short, more and more number combinations are created as the selected numbers increase. This same rule applies to the rest of the remaining system plays.

Who are allowed to play Lotto 6/45?

PCSO only allows persons aged 18 and above to play the 6/45 Lotto. Aside from the age requirement, some limitations such as the No Mask-No Betting system are also in place owing to the on-going COVID-19 epidemic.

How much does a Megalotto System 8 ticket cost?

System 8 is the 6/45 Mega Lotto system bet that lets players to pick a total of eight (8) numbers instead of the usual six (6) numbers. This play type generates 28 combinations in all and costs PhP 560 (Php 20 x 28 combinations).

What is Documentary Stamps Tax?

DST or Documentary Stamp Tax is a 20% tax imposed on lotto ticket prices by the government by virtue of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act (TRAIN Law).

PCSO commenced adding 20% DST on the prices of its tickets when the law took effect in 2018. As a result, 2D (EZ2), 3D (Swertres), 4D and 6D Lotto ticket prices increased from PhP 10 to PhP 12 while the 6/42, 6/45, 6/49, 6/55 and 6/45 Lotto tickets rose from PhP 20 to PhP 24.

On July 18, 2020, PCSO returned the price of its major lotto games to Php 20.
