PCSO uses a payout structure for 6/45 Mega Lotto based on ‘pari mutuel’ system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lotto bets in a given draw, then split the pool by the total number of winners.
These are the prizes for Mega Lotto according to the PCSO:
- If your number matches six (6) out of the six (6) numbers drawn in any order, you take home the latest jackpot for the Lotto 6/45 game. Starting jackpot is PhP 8,910,000 but this amount grows larger every time nobody wins the jackpot.
- In case you matched five (5) of the six (6) drawn numbers, you receive a second prize in the amount of PhP 32,000.
- In case you matched four (4) numbers of the winning number combination, you receive a prize of PhP 1,000.
- A fourth prize of PhP 30 awaits those who will match three (3) out of the six (6) number drawn.

How to Play Mega Lotto 6/45
Before proceeding further, please remember that only 18 years old and above are permitted to play.
These are the detailed instructions when playing 6/45 Mega Lotto:
- Go to any lotto outlet authorized by PCSO and look for the Mega Lotto 6/45 bet card.
- Pick six (6) numbers that will comprise your 6/45 Lotto combination. You can choose from numbers 1 to 45.
- Choose the Lucky Pick (LP) option in case you have no combination in mind. This option allows the system to randomly generate the number combination for you.
- Increase your chances of hitting the jackpot using the 6/45 Lotto System Play.
- For Advance Plays, mark the number of consecutive draws in the Draw panel.
- Hand over your play card and corresponding payment to the teller and get your ticket after it is generated.
- Check the 6/45 Lotto Result after the 9:00 pm scheduled draw to know if you matched the winning combination.
Each Lotto 6/45 number combination costs PhP 20. If you played any of the System Bets, the total play amount would vary from PhP 140 to PhP 18,480, depending on the overall number of combinations generated. The ticket price includes a 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).
After placing your bet, sign the back portion of your 6/45 Megalotto ticket and store it in secure and dry place.
Do not iron, fold, wet or tamper with your Mega Lotto ticket. Tickets are heat-sensitive and they need to be machine-validated before you can claim your prize.

New Health and Safety Reminders when Playing 6/45 Lotto
Amidst this pandemic, PCSO imposed the following regulations in all lotto outlets nationwide.
- Always wear your face mask. Players without face mask will not be permitted to buy 6/45 Lotto tickets.
- Always observe one (1) meter physical distance from each other.
- Use your own pen.
- Place the play slips and money in the tray provided by the outlet to eliminate physical contact.
- Apply sanitizers or alcohols before leaving the outlet.
- Use the garbage cans provided to put away used play slips and/or old tickets.
Megalotto 6/45 System Plays – Improve your Chances of Winning the Jackpot
6/45 Lotto System Bets allow players to pick more than the typical six (6) numbers per draw, thereby increasing their chances of winning the jackpot.
The system bets available in 6/45 Lotto are System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11, System 12 and System 5-Roll (System 5R).
A total of seven (7) combinations are generated in System 7 because a player who chooses this option would have to choose seven (7) numbers. In System 8, on the other hand, 28 combinations are generated because the player will need to choose a total of eight (8) numbers out of the numbers 1 to 45.
In essence, more and more number combinations are generated as the marked numbers increase. This same rule applies to the rest of the remaining system bets.
In the case of System 5R, you only choose five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5R, the 5 numbers you have marked are automatically combined with each of the remaining 40 digits in the bet card, creating a total of 40 combinations.
Please remember that your overall bet cost will be much higher in system plays due to the higher number of combinations you will place your bet on. The overall price of the ticket shall be PhP 20 times the number of combinations produced.

How do I Play Mega Lotto 6/45 System 12?
System 12 is the Mega Lotto 6/45 system play that lets bettors to pick a total of twelve (12) numbers instead of the regular six (6) numbers. This play type produces 924 combinations in all and costs PhP 18,480 (Php 20 x 924 combinations).
To play System 12, simply select your preferred 12-number combination and then mark the number 12 in the SYS column of the 6/45 Lotto betting card.
What is SYS 8 in Lotto 6/45?
System 8 is the Lotto 6/45 system bet that lets bettors to select a total of eight (8) numbers instead of the regular six (6) numbers. This play type creates 28 combinations in all and costs PhP 560 (Php 20 x 28 combinations).
To play System 8, just choose your preferred 8-number combination and then mark the number 8 in the SYS section of the 6/45 Lotto bet card.

What if I made a mistake in marking my 6/45 Lotto numbers?
To cancel or disregard a specific Mega Lotto 6/45 entry, mark the VOID directly below it before submitting the play card to the teller.
Please note that you can only void your Megalotto 6/45 entry before purchasing the ticket. Any Mega Lotto 6/45 number combination that has been accepted by the terminal can no longer be canceled or voided.
What does DST stand for?
DST or Documentary Stamp Tax is a 20% tax imposed on PCSO lotto ticket prices by the government by virtue of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law (TRAIN Act).
PCSO commenced adding 20% DST on the prices of its tickets when the law came into force in 2018. Consequently, 2D (EZ2), 3D (Swertres), 4D and 6D Lotto ticket prices rose from PhP 10 to PhP 12 while the 6/42, 6/45, 6/49, 6/55 and 6/45 Lotto tickets went up from PhP 20 to PhP 24.
On July 18, 2020, PCSO reverted the price of its major lotto games to Php 20.

March 10, 2021– PCSO discourages everyone from purchasing lotto tickets from entities claiming to be part of a alleged PCSO ‘online’ betting platform. The agency states it does not have any such platform yet.
January 6, 2021– PCSO resumes its 6-Digit and 4-Digit Lotto draws.
July 20, 2020– PCSO annouced the resumption of its lotto operations starting August 4, 2020 after months-long suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic.
