How to Play Superlotto 6/49

Before proceeding further, note that only 18 years old and above are allowed to play.

Here’s how you can play the Lotto 6/49:

1. Go to an authorized PCSO lottery outlet and grab the Super Lotto 6/49 playing card.
2. Mark six (6) numbers that will comprise your 6/49 Lotto combination. You can pick from numbers 1 to 49.
3. Mark the Lucky Pick (LP) option in case you have no combination in mind. This option instructs the terminal to automatically pick the numbers for you.
4. Optionally mark one of the options under the 6/49 Lotto System Play. With this option, you can select more than the regular six number combination.
5. For multiple draws, mark the number of succeeding draws you want to join in the Draw section.
6. Give your betting card and payment to the cashier and get your printed ticket once printed.
7. View the 6/49 Lotto Result after the 9:00 pm scheduled draw to verify if you matched the winning combination.

Each 6/49 Lotto combination costs PhP 20, inclusive of 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).

Super Lotto 6/49 System Plays – How to Increase your Chances of Winning

You can increase your chances of winning the jackpot through 6/49 Lotto System Bets. This advanced option allows you to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers and generates numerous combinations of your chosen numbers.

These are the options available in case you want to play system bets- System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11, System 12 and System 5-Roll (System 5R).

With System 7, a bettor chooses seven (7) numbers which generates a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the bettor selects eight (8) numbers, producing a total of 28 combinations.

The more numbers selected, the higher the number of combinations created. Same rule applies in System 9, System 10, System 11 and in System 12.

With regard to System 5R, you only mark five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5-Roll, the 5 numbers you have picked are automatically paired with each of the remaining 44 digits in the playing card, generating a total of 44 six-number combinations.

You can select more than 6 numbers by playing any of the system bets for Super Lotto. You can choose from System 7 (7 numbers), System 8 (8 numbers), System 9 (8 numbers), System 10 (10 numbers), System 11 (11 numbers) and System 12 (12 numbers).

What does DST stand for?

DST or Documentary Stamp Tax is a 20% tax levied on lotto ticket prices by the government by virtue of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act (TRAIN Act).

PCSO commenced adding 20% DST on the prices of its tickets when the law came into effect in 2018. Thus, 2D (EZ2), 3D (Swertres), 4D and 6D Lotto ticket prices went up from PhP 10 to PhP 12 while the 6/42, 6/45, 6/49, 6/55 and 6/49 Lotto tickets rose from PhP 20 to PhP 24.

On July 18, 2020, PCSO reverted the price of its major lotto games to Php 20.

Will there be any lotto draw during Holy Week?

PCSO usually cancels its lotto draws during regular holidays such as December 25 (Christmas), January 1 (New Year), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Easter Sunday. In other special holidays such as December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 31 (New Year’s Eve), PCSO shortens its draw schedule in such a manner that all draws are finished early in the day.
