PCSO employs a payout system for Mega Lotto based on ‘pari mutuel’ system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lottery bets in a given draw, then split the pool by the total number of winners.
Here is the Mega Lotto prize structure:
- Matching six (6) out of the six (6) numbers drawn in any order wins you the latest jackpot prize for Mega Lotto. The jackpot starts at PhP 8,910,000.

Megalotto 6/45 System Bets – How to Improve your Odds of Winning the Jackpot
You can increase your chances of winning the jackpot through 6/45 Lotto System Bets. This advanced option allows you to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers and creates multiple combinations of your chosen numbers.
These are the options available in case you want to play system bets- System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11, System 12 and System 5-Roll (System 5R).
A total of seven (7) combinations are created in System 7 because a player who picks this option would need to choose seven (7) numbers. In System 8, on the other hand, 28 combinations are produced because the player will have to pick a total of eight (8) numbers out of the numbers 1 to 45.
The more numbers selected, the higher the number of combinations produced. Same rule applies in System 9, System 10, System 11 and in System 12.
In System 5R, the player will only need to pick five (5) numbers. The remaining (unmarked) 40 numbers will be partnered with the 5 picked numbers. This creates a total of 40 combinations.
Please remember that your overall ticket cost will be much higher in system bets due to the higher number of combinations you will place your bet on. The overall ticket cost shall be PhP 20 multiplied by the number of combinations generated.

Getting three (3) of the winning combination gives you PhP 30, four (4) matching numbers wins you a prize equal to PhP 1,000 while five (5) numbers gives you a fixed amount equal to PhP 32,000.
Matching all the winning numbers gives you the jackpot prize worth at least PhP 8.9 Million.
Increase your chances of winning using a system play. This option allows you to select up to 12 numbers instead of just 6, thereby creating a higher number of combinations.
The system plays you can select from are the System 5-Roll and System 7 up to System 12.
The cost of tickets in system plays depend on the overall number of combinations generated.

You can select more than 6 numbers by playing any of the system plays for 6/45 Megalotto. You can choose from System 7 (7 numbers), System 8 (8 numbers), System 9 (8 numbers), System 10 (10 numbers), System 11 (11 numbers) and System 12 (12 numbers).
You can also select only 5 numbers using the System 5-Roll. Please remember that the total number of combinations is considered when calculating the total ticket price.
For instance, a System 7 play costs PhP 140 because it produces 7 combinations in all.
Does PCSO conduct draws during Christmas and New year?
PCSO usually suspends its lotto draws during regular holidays such as December 25 (Christmas), January 1 (New Year), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Easter Sunday. In other special holidays such as December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 31 (New Year’s Eve), PCSO adjusts its draw schedule in such a way that all draws are completed early in the day.
