PCSO uses pari mutel betting system in calculating Grandlotto prizes. This means that the actual prize that each winner shall receive depends on the gross sales and number of winners on a certain prize rank.

One Grandlotto 6/55 number combination costs PhP 20, inclusive of 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).

Lotto 6/55 System Plays – How to Improve the Odds of Winning the Jackpot
6/55 Lotto System Bets allow players to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers per draw, thereby increasing their chances of winning the jackpot.
The available system bets in 6/55 Lotto are System 5-Roll (System 5R), System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.
With System 7, a bettor chooses seven (7) numbers which generates a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the player chooses eight (8) numbers, producing a total of 28 combinations.
The more numbers marked, the higher the number of combinations produced. Same rule applies in System 9, System 10, System 11 and in System 12.

System 5R (5-Roll) is the Grandlotto system bet that lets the bettor to select only five (5) numbers instead of the usual 6 number combination.
