PCSO uses a payout system for Megalotto based on ‘pari mutuel’ system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lottery bets in a given draw, then dividing the pool by the total number of winners.

- If you got six (6) numbers of the winning combination in any order, you win the jackpot for the 6/45 Mega Lotto game. The top prize begins at PhP 8,910,000.

How to Play Mega Lotto 6/45
Before continuing, please note that you need to be at least 18 years old to play.
To play the 6/45 Megalotto game, follow these detailed steps:
- Go to a lotto outlet authorized by PCSO near you and get the Mega Lotto 6/45 betting card.
- Mark a combination of six (6) numbers from one (1) to Forty-Five (45) in each column of the bet slip.
- If you can’t think of any number combination, choose Lucky Pick (LP) to let the system select the numbers for you.
- Increase your chances of winning the jackpot using the 6/45 Lotto System Play.
- For Advance Plays, mark the number of succeeding draws in the Draw section.
- Hand over your play card and corresponding payment to the cashier and get your ticket once it is generated.
- After the draw, view the 6/45 Lotto Result to verify if you won the prize.
Each 6/45 Mega Lotto combination costs PhP 20. If you played any of the System Bets, the total play amount would range from PhP 140 to PhP 18,480, depending on the total number of combinations generated. The ticket price includes a 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).
After placing your bet, sign the back portion of your Megalotto ticket and keep it in safe and dry place.

PCSO has implemented the protocol below to be followed by 6/45 Lotto players in the country.
- Put on your face mask at all times. No Facemask-No Betting scheme shall be carried out in all PCSO lotto outlets nationwide.
- Follow physical distancing when placing 6/45 Lotto bets.
- Use your own pen.
- Use the tray provided when handing out your bet slip and payment.
- Use the alcohols, disinfectant or hand sanitizer provided before leaving the outlet.
- Use the garbage bins provided to put away used play slips and/or old tickets.
6/45 Mega Lotto System Plays – How to Increase your Chances of Winning the Jackpot
6/45 Lotto System Bets allow players to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers per draw, thereby increasing their chances of winning the jackpot.
These are the options available in case you want to play system bets- System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11, System 12 and System 5-Roll (System 5R).
A total of seven (7) combinations are generated in System 7 because a player who marks this option would need to mark seven (7) numbers. In System 8, on the other hand, 28 combinations are produced because the bettor will need to select a total of eight (8) numbers out of the numbers 1 to 45.
To sum it up, more and more number combinations are produced as the selected numbers increase. This same rule applies to the rest of the remaining system plays.
In System 5-Roll, you only choose five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5-Roll, the 5 numbers you have chosen are automatically matched with each of the remaining 40 digits in the play slip, creating a total of 40 combinations.
Please note that your total bet cost will be much higher in system bets due to the higher number of combinations you will place your bet on. The total cost of the ticket shall be PhP 20 multiplied by the number of combinations created.

What are the ways to win in 6/45 Lotto?
You win a prize in 6/45 Mega Lotto by matching at least three (3) drawn numbers in any order. Bigger prizes awaits those who will match four (4), five (5) or six (6) winning numbers.
If you match three (3) out of six (6), you receive PhP 30. Four (4) out of six (6) gives you a fixed amount equal to PhP 1,000 while five (5) out of six (6) gives you a prize equal to PhP 32,000.
Matching all the winning numbers wins you the jackpot prize worth no less than PhP 8.9 Million.
You can increase your chances of hitting the jackpot by selecting up to 12 numbers using a system play. This type of bet produces a bigger number of combinations which ranges from 7 to 924 combinations.
There are seven system plays in all. These are the System 5R and System 7 up to System 12.
Ticket price is PhP 20 times the overall number of generated combinations.

I bet on the wrong number combination in 6/45 Mega Lotto by mistake, can I get a refund?
You cannot cancel, void or refund your Mega Lotto 6/45 ticket after it is printed by the computer. Players have the sole responsibility of checking the accuracy of the data printed on the 6/45 Lotto ticket including the number combination, bet type and amount of bet.

What is DST?
DST or Documentary Stamp Tax is a 20% tax imposed on lotto ticket prices by the government by virtue of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act (TRAIN Law).
PCSO started adding 20% DST on the prices of its tickets when the law took effect in 2018. Accordingly, 2D (EZ2), 3D (Swertres), 4D and 6D Lotto ticket prices rose from PhP 10 to PhP 12 while the 6/42, 6/45, 6/49, 6/55 and 6/45 Lotto tickets rose from PhP 20 to PhP 24.
On July 18, 2020, PCSO returned the price of its major lotto games to Php 20.
