Before continuing, keep in mind that only 18 years old and above are permitted to play.
Here’s how you can play the 6/42 Lotto:
- Go to the nearest PCSO-authorized lottery agent and look for a playing card with PCSO Lotto 6/42 logo.
- Pick a combination of six (6) numbers from one (1) to Forty-Two (42) in each column of the play slip.
- Choose the Lucky Pick (LP) option in case you have no combination in mind. This option instructs the system to randomly generate the number combination for you.
- Increase your odds of winning the jackpot using the 6/42 Lotto System Play.
- If you want to join multiple draws, select the number of consecutive draws in the Draw section.
- Pay the corresponding ticket price to the teller and get your generated lotto ticket.
- After the draw, see the 6/42 Lotto Result to know if you won the prize.
Each Lotto 6/42 number combination costs PhP 20. If you played any of the System Bets, the total bet amount would vary from PhP 140 to PhP 18,480, depending on the overall number of combinations generated. The ticket price includes a 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).
After placing your bet, sign the back portion of the 6/42 Lotto ticket and keep it in secure and dry place.
Do not soak in water, fold or iron or write anything on your Lotto 6/42 ticket except the portion designated for your signature. Tickets must be machine-validated when claiming prizes.
Lotto 6/42 is the Philippines’ first national lottery game. Lotto 6/42 System Plays – Improve the Chances of Winning the Jackpot
You can increase your chances of winning the jackpot through 6/42 Lotto System Bets. This advanced option allows you to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers and creates multiple combinations of your chosen numbers.
The available system plays in 6/42 Lotto are System 5-Roll (System 5R), System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.
A total of seven (7) combinations are generated in System 7 because a bettor who chooses this option would have to choose seven (7) numbers. In System 8, on the other hand, 28 combinations are produced because the player will have to choose a total of eight (8) numbers out of the numbers 1 to 42.
The more numbers chosen, the higher the number of combinations created. Same rule applies in System 9, System 10, System 11 and in System 12.
With System 5R, you only mark five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5R, the 5 numbers you have selected are automatically combined with each of the remaining 37 digits in the bet slip, producing a total of 37 combinations.
Keep in mind that the higher the number of combinations, the higher the overall bet cost will be. The overall cost of the ticket is PhP 20 multiplied by the number of combinations generated.

In Lotto 6/42, you win a prize by matching at least three (3) out of the six (6) drawn numbers. More matching number means higher prizes for you.
If you got three (3) out of six (6), you win PhP 20. Four (4) out of six (6) gives you a fixed amount equal to PhP 800 while five (5) out of six (6) gives you a prize equal to PhP 24,000.
If you got all the six (6) winning numbers correctly, you receive the jackpot prize of no less than PhP 5.94 Million.
You can increase your chances of hitting the jackpot by picking up to 12 numbers using a system play. This type of bet creates a larger number of combinations which ranges from 7 to 924 combinations.
You can select from seven available system plays. These are the System 5-Roll and System 7 up to System 12.
