PCSO uses a prize system for Megalotto based on ‘pari mutuel’ wagering system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lottery bets in a given draw, then dividing the pool by the total number of winners.

Below is the latest Mega Lotto payout structure:

• If your combination matches six (6) out of the six (6) winning numbers in any order, you win the jackpot prize for the Mega Lotto 6/45 game. Initial jackpot is PhP 8,910,000 but this amount gets larger every time no one wins the jackpot.
• In case your combination matches five (5) out of the six (6) numbers drawn, you take home the second prize worth PhP 32,000.
• Getting five (4) out of the six (6) drawn numbers gives you a fixed amount of PhP 1,000.
• In case your number matches three (3) out of the six (6) winning numbers, you receive a prize of PhP 30.

Remember that winnings above PhP 10,000 are subject to 20% tax.

Before proceeding, note that you need to be at least 18 years old to play.

Here’s how you can play the Lotto 6/45:

1. Go to any authorized PCSO lotto agent and get the Mega Lotto 6/45 bet card.
2. Pick your 6/45 number combination by marking six (6) out of numbers 1 to 45.
3. If you cannot think of any number combination, mark Lucky Pick (LP) to let the computer choose the numbers for you.
4. Raise your odds of hitting the jackpot through the 6/45 Lotto System Play.
5. Mark the number of succeeding draws you want to play in the Draw panel.
6. Give your bet card and corresponding payment to the cashier and get your ticket after it is generated.
7. View the 6/45 Lotto Result after the 9pm scheduled draw to verify if your ticket matches the winning number combination.

Megalotto 6/45 ticket costs PhP 20 per number combination. This amount already includes the 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).

Megalotto 6/45 System Plays – Ways to Improve your Odds of Winning the Jackpot

You can increase your chances of winning the jackpot through 6/45 Lotto System Bets. This advanced option allows you to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers and generates multiple combinations of your chosen numbers.

If you want to try system plays, these are the options you can select from- System 5-Roll (System 5R), System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.

With System 7, a player chooses seven (7) numbers which produces a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the player selects eight (8) numbers, generating a total of 28 combinations.

The more numbers chosen, the higher the number of combinations produced. Same rule applies in System 9, System 10, System 11 and in System 12.

With regard to System 5R, the player picks five (5) numbers instead of six. These 5 numbers are automatically matched with the remaining forty (40) numbers, creating 40 combinations in all.

If you match three (3) out of six (6), you win PhP 30. Four (4) out of six (6) wins you a prize equal to PhP 1,000 while five (5) out of six (6) gives you a prize in the amount of PhP 32,000.

Matching all the winning numbers gives you the jackpot prize worth at least PhP 8.91 Million.

You can increase your chances of hitting the jackpot by picking up to 12 numbers using a system play. This type of bet creates a bigger number of combinations which ranges from 7 to 924 combinations.

What are the prizes in Lotto 6/45?

PCSO generally cancels its lotto draws during major holidays such as December 25 (Christmas), January 1 (New Year), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, and Easter Sunday. In other special holidays such as December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 31 (New Year’s Eve), PCSO adjusts its draw schedule in such a way that all draws are completed early in the afternoon.

PCSO Updates and Official Announcements

March 10, 2021– PCSO alerts the public against buying lotto tickets from alleged PCSO employees through a supposed ‘online’ betting system. PCSO said it has no such platform yet in place that will support such transactions.

January 6, 2021– PCSO resumes its 6D and 4D Lotto draws.

July 20, 2020– PCSO annouced the resumption of its lotto operations on August 4, 2020 after months-long suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic.

July 18, 2020– PCSO announces the return of the PhP 20 ticket price of its major lotto games. Prices were previously raised to PhP 24 after the TRAIN Act took effect.
