PCSO uses a payout system for Megalotto based on ‘pari mutuel’ system. Parimutuel works by pooling all lotto bets in a certain draw, then dividing the pool by the total number of winners.

6/45 Megalotto System Plays – How to Improve your Chances of Winning
6/45 Lotto System Bets allow players to pick more than the usual six (6) numbers per draw, thereby increasing their chances of winning the jackpot.
If you want to play system plays, these are the options you can choose from- System 5-Roll (System 5R), System 7, System 8, System 9, System 10, System 11 and System 12.
With System 7, a player selects seven (7) numbers which produces a total of seven (7) combinations. In System 8, the bettor selects eight (8) numbers, creating a total of 28 combinations.
To sum it up, more and more number combinations are created as the marked numbers increase. This same rule applies to the rest of the remaining system plays.
In the case of System 5-Roll, you only select five (5) numbers and if your 5 numbers match the winning combination, you automatically win the jackpot. This is because in System 5-Roll, the 5 numbers you have marked are automatically matched with each of the remaining 40 digits in the bet card, producing a total of 40 six-number combinations.
Please note that your overall bet cost will be much higher in system bets due to the higher number of combinations you will place your bet on. The overall cost of the ticket shall be PhP 20 multiplied by the number of combinations generated.
